1. Purpose and responsible use
Bible Lots, including its native app and Bible Lots Web, is a Bible-reading and Scripture-navigation tool operated by Jonathan Grebenyuk. A “cast” is a randomized selection of a Scripture location according to your selected pool and casting method. It is intended to help you choose somewhere to begin reading.
2. No claim of divine revelation
Bible Lots does not claim that any cast is a message from God, prophecy, revelation, fortune-telling, or a guaranteed indication of God's will. It does not promise that a randomly selected passage has special personal meaning for you.
The native app and Web version do not replace prayer, discernment, study, sound interpretation, Scripture read in context, pastoral counsel, or responsible decision-making. You are responsible for how you interpret and apply Scripture.

3. No professional advice
Bible Lots and cast results are not medical, mental-health, legal, financial, safety, or emergency advice; professional counseling; or personalized pastoral or theological advice. Do not use a cast as the sole basis for consequential medical, legal, financial, safety, family, employment, emergency, or similar decisions. For emergencies or professional needs, contact an appropriate qualified professional or emergency service.
4. Randomization and availability
The native app and Bible Lots Web use cryptographic software randomness to select from eligible Scripture locations. No warranty is made that a particular passage will be selected, that a cast is suitable to your circumstances or carries supernatural significance, or that Bible Lots will always be uninterrupted or error-free.
5. Apple Standard EULA
For downloads through Apple's App Store, use of the licensed application is also governed by Apple's Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement, unless Apple or applicable law provides otherwise. These Bible Lots Terms supplement product/service disclosures and do not replace that agreement, conflict with Apple's applicable license terms, or remove non-waivable consumer rights.
6. Warranties and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Bible Lots and related services are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted availability, error-free operation, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy beyond obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Jonathan Grebenyuk / Bible Lots will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of or inability to use Bible Lots, including decisions made based on a cast or interpretation of Scripture. Apple's Standard EULA contains additional warranty and liability provisions for App Store users.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability or consumer rights to the extent such exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
7. Devices and external services
You are responsible for compatible devices, appropriate device/software security, your interpretation and application of Scripture, compliance with law, and responsible use of external services.
Apple services, linked websites, email clients, payment processors, and other external services are controlled by their respective providers. Their own terms and privacy policies apply. Bible Lots does not warrant third-party availability or content, subject to obligations that cannot lawfully be excluded.
8. Changes and beta software
Bible Lots may prospectively update the app, supported devices, features, these Terms, and related services. Perpetual feature availability is not promised. Changes remain subject to applicable law, Apple platform rules, and any obligations to former subscribers; this provision does not permit us to disregard those obligations.
Beta software may contain bugs, change, behave unexpectedly, or lose local test data. Features offered in a particular beta depend on the distributed build and testing platform. Back up anything important and report problems through support.
Former Bible Lots Supporter subscription
The Bible Lots Supporter subscription has been discontinued with the fully-free update. Existing Bible casting, reading, and Apple Watch features no longer depend on a subscription. This section is retained for people with past or still-active Apple subscriptions, not as an offer to subscribe.
Past subscriptions were billed through Apple In-App Purchase and, where still active, are managed through Apple's subscription system under Apple's terms. Check Apple's subscription settings to see your status and manage or cancel an active subscription. Apple handles billing and refund requests, subject to its terms and applicable law. Bible Lots does not promise automatic cancellation, automatic refunds, or conversion of past payments into voluntary contributions. One-time voluntary support terms
Supporting Bible Lots through the existing Stripe-hosted link is optional and one-time. It does not purchase membership, unlock features, change casting outcomes, or grant priority access, ownership, voting, investment, or governance rights. Bible Lots is not represented as a nonprofit or charity, and this support is not represented as charitable or tax deductible.

Scripture and Third-Party Notices
Berean Standard Bible (BSB) — public-domain Scripture text. The Berean Bible project officially dedicated its Bible text to the public domain as of April 30, 2023. Its terms permit reproduction, integration, and adaptation in free and commercial resources. Attribution is appreciated but not required. See the official terms and licensing information.
Bible Lots uses the official BSB text and retains respectful attribution to the Berean Bible Translation Committee and collaborating Bible Hub, Discovery Bible, and OpenBible.com projects. Bible Lots does not claim ownership of the translation or the Berean name, or imply endorsement, sponsorship, or partnership. The publisher requests that derivatives changing the official text not use the Berean name.
The app includes Expo, React, React Native, Hermes, AsyncStorage, and other open-source components. Their licenses and notices remain controlling. Read the software license notices.
